Being a small and responsive outfit, our turnaround times are generally very fast depending on current workload. If we can’t do it in your timescales we can try and refer you to someone who can.
First and foremost, we’re designers and we’re passionate about high tech making methods. We like to innovate and push the boundaries of what’s possible with the latest technology. With our office located east of Manchester, we’re here to help you make your ideas come to life, whether it’s custom laser engraving for giftware, your own laser cut jewellery designs, or laser cut wargaming pieces, through to mass production of laser cut gifts and custom packaging for your business.
Over the last four years we’ve learned our craft the traditional way, doing a lot of laser cutting, from the tiniest engraving jobs on precious materials, through to large scale installations for hospitals. We’ve streamlined our production methods and aim to offer a very fast turnaround. When you’re up against a deadline we’ll pull all the stops out. We’ve been experimenting with materials and refining our techniques to make sure we can do what we say we can do. We regularly handle individual prototyping jobs, through to mass production laser jobs for large retailers.
3D printing specialists
For our 3D printing service, we use a Formlabs Form1 3D printer. We work from Rhino3D files, or preferably STL files.

Laser cutting and 3D printing machines
We run some of the best machines available:
- Epilog Mini 18 laser engraver
- Epilog Zing 16 laser engraver
- GN large format laser cutter (100cm x 60cm)
- QX medium format laser cutter (70cm x 50cm)
- Formlabs Form 1 3D printer
Each machine has its merits and drawbacks. The larger format machines are generally great for cutting thicker materials with good accuracy. The smaller Epilog machines have a narrower beam and lower power but their “flying head” design and much better build quality enables them to engrave incredibly quickly in comparison, as well as at much higher resolutions of up to 1200dpi. We will advise which machine is best for the job so you don’t end up paying more for an inferior product.
Olde fashion’d printing machines
We offer a direct to substrate sublimation printing service using an A4 Ricoh sublimation printer, so we can print direct to metal, ceramic mug, tile etc. – we make some of the commemorative wooden plaques you see in railway stations.
We use an OKI CS9655 CMYK digital printer for high quality double sided print and repro on stock up to 350gsm, with a maximum sheet size of SRA3, equating to 450mm x 320mm. We can also cut shapes out from the resulting prints very accurately, should you require it.
Hire by the hour
Apart from our normal “remote” service where you send us your files for quoting and cutting, we can offer laser and 3D printer hire by the hour, where you are welcome to use our equipment. After a short training session, and subject to availability, we can leave you to work on your own designs in our office. This may well work out more cost effective for you, especially if you have a lot of work to get through.
Free laser cutting
We also offer competitions with some lovely prizes to be won! You simply have to sign up to our newsletter to hear about them so why not sign up now, below. We won’t spam you or sell your details, promise!
